Graduate Applications

The process at the moment seems to be:

  • Submit online application
  • Phone interview
  • Reference checks
  • Assessment centre (full day)
  • Formal interview
  • Medicals etc.

Considering the time required, I am certainly glad I decided on my preferences before applying. After working in the mining industry for over three years, I have gained an insight into the companies that are best suited to my career path. Vacation work was great for understanding how a few different companies operate, but networking events provide exposure to more companies. I am glad that I took every opportunity that I could for networking and work experience opportunities, because now I know who I want to work for, and have a better chance of getting it.

For anyone studying at the moment, make sure you get the vacation work applications in.
